Attentive, nurturing, and enthusiastic about her work, Fonda is focused on honoring the needs of the client.

Fonda was born and raised in Iowa. Being a transcendental meditator for the past 34 years, she has developed a keen interest in alternative therapies and a sensitivity that allows her to facilitate sessions with greater effectiveness. Her healing career started four years ago when she graduated from Body Wisdom Massage School in Des Moines. She is a nationally certified and licensed Massage Therapist and has completed training in a variety of modalities to better assist her client's needs.

Her interest in the BodyTalk System™ came after receiving sessions herself. When she saw the fantastic results she knew this was the healing modality to focus on. She has since taken twelve seminars within the BodyTalk System™, including the advanced training and has earned the title of PaRama BodyTalk Practitioner. She is a coordinator in Des Moines for BodyTalk classes. She is also a member in good standing with the International BodyTalk Association.

Fonda sees a deep shift towards overall health, wellness, and balance in her clients through the profound healing effects of the BodyTalk System™.

Fonda is focused on introducing and expanding awareness of the BodyTalk System™ to the Des Moines area. If you would like to open your body, mind, and spirit to the power of the BodyTalk System™ and explore what your potential is, call to book a session that will get you started on the path to where you are meant to be!

Nikki Thies

Nikki has enjoyed teaching since she learned to walk and talk. She graduated from Simpson College in 1999 with a Psychology and Secondary Education degree with plans to become a school counselor. She became active in fitness after graduating from college and took up Pilates after her daughter was born in 2002. She started yoga while pregnant with her son in 2005 and took her first yoga teacher training in December of 2006 and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. She wanted more and more as she has begun taking all the yoga classes available. She has received several yoga certifications including Yoga for Kids, Seniors and prenatal/postnatal. She is actively working on becoming a Registered and Certified Yoga teacher that she should achieve by 2008.

Nikki’s love of Pilates also brought her to some teacher trainings in mat and on the reformer Pilates machine where she has received training through Stott Pilates. She hopes to offer Pilates classes in the fall. She appreciates the stretching and strengthening in the core area that Pilates has to offer as well as the balance between strength and flexibility she receives from her yoga practice.

Nikki has a deep interest in all aspects of fitness and nutrition. She received her Nutrition Specialist diploma in spring of 2007. She believes that you will feel your best with a balanced diet and regular exercise. She has found that through Pilates and yoga she has been able to develop the mind and body connection for the best results.

Yoga is currently being held each Wednesday evening at 5:30 and Saturday morning at 8:30. Nikki practices Vinyasa, a flowing style of yoga. She believes in providing you with a good work out in addition to the strength building, flexibility, and mental benefits it offers. She provides many different options to meet the needs of all fitness levels. Wednesday evenings are full but there are a couple of spaces available on Saturday. She has punch cards available for purchase. Private Yoga, mat Pilates, and Reformer Pilates sessions are available upon request.
